There are prerequisites for this: scientists all over the world are actively developing cloud applications, and innovative technologies are entering practice at all stages of the organization of science. ”
As the authors note, their non-breaking ability and verifiability is ideal for recording and storing the results of the experiments performed, as well as their verification by other research groups.
In this way, the scientific publications can be stored, which will speed up the release of new scientific works and protect scientists from the fear that their discoveries may be appropriated by someone else. In theory, this will help not only quickly identify unscrupulous scientists and encourage the most successful scientists, but also more accurately calculate their ratings and assess the quality of their work.
The RFBR proposes the creation of a “scientific” blockchain, in which all actions taken in the framework of research and scientific publications would be recorded. The value of each action will be determined by the entire scientific community, which will complicate the pursuit of beautiful numbers and make life easier for normal scientists.
